The Puppies finally arrived January 22, 2004!

Beckley was now a big brother. He just loved these new puppies, mom let him have a few licks here and there and he just couldn't wait for the time that he would get to be with the puppies. He would hang out on top of the whelping box and watch as mom would take care of her new babies. Beckley was the only one of the animals in the house that TamarahK would let get near to or let look at the babies. The puppy handlers started to come again, Beckley loves them and was so happy that he got to see them more often.

By the second week we came in to the room and here Beckley was in the box with his mom and the pups, helping his mom. He was ever so careful not to step on his brother and sisters. He became the nurse dog and he would help his mom from then on.

Beckley was the babysitter and he would always keep an eye on his brother and sisters,
he was so gentle and kind with them.

Even though he is so big, he never stepped on babies and he never hurt them. Somehow he would ever so carefully get into the whelping box and get settled in. This was amazing because by this point in Beckley's life he was over 150lbs and took up a big portion of the box himself.

Beckley loved his brother and sisters so much that he could not get enough of them. He would hang out in the whelping box with them, playing with them ever so gentle and clean them up for his mom.

Beckley taught the puppies the things in life like drinking out of the big water bowl and playing tug of war. Beckley was the puppies hero.

The puppies were getting big now and soon they would be leaving for their new homes, this was to be very hard on Beckley, but wouldn't last too long.

But for now life was just wonderful loving the pups

Beckley was always so kind and generous with the puppies and he would gladly
share his bone or toys with them.
