The pups continue to be rambungsious today. They now are zooming back and forth and found
the space under the wardrobe cabinet that we use for a pantry in the kitchen to be a great
place to dive under and then jump out and attack each other. They discovered it when the
cat baled under it to get away from one of the many puppy onslaughts. The funny thing is they
all went under after the cat but they all stayed under playing including the cat. Mom now
drags the puppies around while nursing (ouch that has to hurt) Beckley has been acting a
little naughty biting on the girls shoes and school bag. I'm sure because the attention is going
more toward the pups and not him, but they were on the floor and anything on the floor he
figures is fair game.
Two of the puppy handlers were here almost 6 hours today it will be hard for them to get
up for school at 5:00 am but they say it's worth it to be with the pups. We told them that the
pups really get tired out but little did we all know the pups are up at 5:00 am ready to play again.
There is nothing like the sound of 4 lonely puppies at the crack of dawn, or yeah we seem to recall
the sound of 8 lonely pups from last year, We are kind of still on the no sleep schedule. But what's a
few sleepless months when you have puppies....
Between us I think the parents have a harder time trying to pry the girls out of here. Threatening to leave them here didn't even work once, the girls said REALLY OK. (LOL) Sampson was just the biggest flirt today,
he didn't want to take a nap with his sisters so he got most of the attention today.
As you can see from the pics. the girls were teaching him the finer and more important things in life,
showing him how to play Mario on the gameboy and he was really watching. Next he
was expounding on the fascinating subject of Algebra which as the picture shows Sampson was eating
it right up. She say's the picture is proof positive that the dog really did eat her homework. ( she was
hoping he would finish it)
This will kind of be a quick update today, we have had the two of the girls here since 3:30 this afternoon.
And lots of company this evening. The day started out rainy but it cleared up this afternoon and we got
to take the pups out for over a half hour.
They had a blast running around the kennel with each other,
mom, dad and Beckley. Mom went under the new porch deck we built the pack and decided to dig a deep
den under the foundation, then proceeded to call the pups under. (We don't think so) She gets so jealous
when everybody pays attention to the pups and she wants to reestablish her control. The pups also got
their 3rd toenail clipping, it's amazing how fast and how sharp those little needle claws can get.
Sampson enjoying the doghouse for a short nap and break.
We had lots of visitors today. Nia's new owners stopped by. They couldn't get over Sampson,
(Everyone Loves Sampson) They called him a little fluff ball. He does looks and acts different
from his sisters very massive but oh so gentle and cuddly. He has such a sweet disposition &
lovable personality you can't help but fall in love with him.
And two of the main puppy handlers hugged and loved and played with the pups all afternoon.
All the pups played out of the box most of the day when they weren't napping.
They really put
on a show for everyone, even the cat came in to get chewed on by the pups. The pups were and
are really really tired tonight they have been sacked out since the kids left at 5:00. It's almost 11:00pm
Mom was a little nervous with all the people here but it is good for her.
