Well it's been 6 days since Sampson came home. Everyone is settling in
to
the new routine just fine. Sampson is very well behaved and learns
fast. He
is almost housebroken already and lets us know when he needs to go
outside.
(most of the time) He has his spots in the backyard already picked out.
He
really loves being outside and playing in the backyard. He runs around
in
big circles and then rolls around in the grass or pounces on one of his
toys. We all agree that Sampson is very quiet for a pup his age and is
happy
to go along with whatever you want him to do.
We gave him his first
bath in
a small tub and he didn't put up much of a fuss at all. He does have a
voice
though and will bark and howl pretty loud when he wants to. He will go
like
crazy for awhile then curl up on his towel or pillow and just crash
out. You
know it's only been 6 days since he's been here but we think he has
already
grown since he's been here, you can almost watch him grow. I really
love his
eyes and they way he looks at you. He seems to have 2 sides, the
lovable pup
who just wants you to hug him and let him lick your face and the quiet
dog who looks at you with those eyes and seems older than he is.
All in
all quite a special pup.

Here's another picture for you two. Sampson has settled in just fine. I think he has
explored just about everywhere inside and out of the house now.He has his toys
everywhere now too. He has been real frisky and vocal today. He either wants to
chase you or you chase him. He runs in circles around youand dares you to chase
him. As usual he goes full out and then crashes out for a while. I hope you guys
aren't missing the pups too much, just enjoy the extra sleep your getting
;-) take care

Just a quick little note. I have a new camera. I am
just trying to learn how it works. Here is a photo I took tonight just
trying it out.
Sampson's eyes. It was great talking to you today and I know I told you
about how Sampson went crazy over my little niece coming over to see
him.
What I didn't say was that this was told to me by my Mom, I wasn't here
at
the time so I didn't take any pictures, sorry :-(
But the new camera should make it easier from now on.

We have been pretty busy lately and so has Sampson. He gets these
bursts of
energy and just runs around like crazy. Yesterday he was up at 4:30 and
with
just a couple of short naps during the day, stayed on the go till 9:30
pm.
He slept all night. Also yesterday he decided that he would move his
pillow
and blanket from the kitchen through the utility roon and into the
garden
room. He likes it in there with all the plants and outside access.
After
that he took most of his toys in there too. I guess we'll call it the
Sampson room. This morning he had an appointment for his next shot at
the
Vet. Dad took him and said he was on his best behavior. The girls at
the
Vets office just love him and as soon as they walked in they said "Here
comes Sampson!". The vet gave him a good look again and took one of his
paws
in his hand and was looking at it closely, he said he sure has big paws
for
a pup his age. I better make friends with him while he's small, cause
he
going to be BIG.
PS - Sampson's weight is now 21.5 and he is starting to get taller.

Here are a couple of pictures for you. Sampson has discovered that the
patio
chairs aren't too bad.

Thought I'd send a little puppy update. We received 2 very nice
handmade
thank you cards from Annie and Ariel the other day for the bracelets.
Annie
sent us her e-mail and wanted a puppy update, so I sent them the photos
I'm
sending to you. I can see where Sampson gets some of his sweet
disposition.
Sampson is really growing fast. You can see the change from week to
week.
His paws are really getting big.

He has learned to sit, speak and give
you
his paw. He does this most of the time, except when he is too excited.
He
loves to ride in the truck down to the farm and watch the horses. He's
not
afraid of them at all. When they stick their heads close to the window
and
get their carrots we have to hold him back because he wants to touch
their
noses. They don't seem to mind him being close either.
Just a little puppy update.

Sampson continues to grow up fast. He is getting to look more mature
when you look at him a just the right angle or pose. He looks forward to riding
down to the farm to see the horses. Hondo and he finally touched noses a couple
of days ago. He didn't bark and Hondo didn't jump. They just said Hi to each other.
Sampson is really getting alot of energy as he grows. Sometimes he just acts like
he going to burst with it and runs around like crazy. The gates we got for the doorways
don't hardly hold him anymore, he climbs right over them if he really wants to. I don't know
what he weighs now but he's getting heavy to pick up!

Sampson is not going to stay small for very long! He is really growing
