I will bring Nia to visit you being so close & such a nice drive. Believe it or not,
I am going to miss the daily pictures & being excited to check my email! Even though I will have the
real thing! I will keep in touch with you guys all the time anyway via email. Till Tomorrow.heeheehee
P.S. I told Buddy about the puppy & have been counting down the days with him in a lengthy
conversation, I am not sure if he gets it or not, but every time he runs to the window to look down
the driveway...I can't wait! Should I bring a clothes basket for her? will she fit?

Hi there,I bet your world is really quiet.... non eventful & Robin is learning how to
get a full nightsleep. I miss your daily emails even though I have Nia... odd huh?
Well, it has been a fun week, we are learning how not to bite... she is great with
me, nips at Dennis now & then, but she just constantly bites Jade, nips at her pants
when she walk, her face, you name it, really strange.

She is having a ball with Buddy,
he has given up everything he owns to her, his fluffy bed, his toys, his food dish,
you name it. They have a ball when it is "potty" time, they run outside, down the deck
& into the backyard, she is really good around the pond, doesn't even go near it
because I have one of those scarecrows, but potty time she goes out on her own,
always going in the same general area & comes right back when she is done because
she knows she gets a small treat. Last night Buddy had an upset stomach so I was up
about 5 times... boy I can'twait until she sleeps thru the night.... do you remember when
that was? haha Anyway

Hi there,
Well what a learning weekend we had.
Nia learned how not to bite, she learned how to
ring a bell at the deck door when she wants to go
out & go "pottie", she learned how not to jump up
on the furniture & then today we played outside
ALL DAY until she finally came back inside on her
own & went to her bed.
Buddy & her have been playing tag in the living
room since Friday night, terrorizing the kitchen
island & Buddy learned the hard way that Nia can
fit under the coffee table... & he can't!
Her ears are all the way up now...
I have come to realize what a great decision it
was to get her... she is wonderful!
My mom has mailed "grandchild" pictures to my other relatives, I think she finally
realizes my animals are the only kids she is
going to get.

Hi there,
All is great with Nia...
Have a funny story... Wednesday night Dennis & I
had to leave for about a half an hour so I put
Nia in her nighttime crate (which she loves) and
we went on our way. When I drove in the driveway,
Buddy was "screaming" at me from the fence that
there was something wrong, well I got to the
front door and there was Nia sitting and waiting
for me outside of her crate!
Well I looked at it and figured I didn't zip it
up all the way & she just wiggled out. (It is
about 3+ feet long & 2 1/2 feet wide.
Last night we ran to the store & I did the same
thing but I left Buddy inside the house with
her... well guess what, she unzipped the entire
crate (no zipper handle on the inside) and she
was out in the middle of the livingroom playing
with her toys... she was so excited to see me she
was piddling on the floor as she was running in
circles! (hope that stops quickly)
I think I have an Einstein on my hands...

Other than that, she is great, her & Buddy have a
major play time every morning about 6:00AM and
then again at about 7:30 - 8:00 pm for a good
hour plus... she is all over him, pulling on his
face, jumping on top of him & he just loves every
minute of it.
Last night I pulled her up onto me on the couch
(a real no-no for me) and we slept together there
with her 1/2 on my face & getting kisses for a
couple hours.
Anyway, she has learned to respect Jade... that
changed that very weekend, Now she just nips at
Buddy's legs. She is a foot sitter... when I am
in the kitchen cooking she will sit on my foot
for as long as I will let her, then we move to
the next counter & so-on....plops on top of my
foot.
Many thanks again...
p.s. how are the puppy handlers doing?

Hi there,
Puppy check in...
Nia went to her doctor Saturday, for another
shot.
Weigh in 9 weeks = 17 lbs
Weigh in 11 weeks= 36 lbs WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Growin' like a weed! Her and Buddy played with us
all weekend outside as we hauled topsoil and
planted grass... she learned how to vandalize
what I had just finished...
I was never a "mom" so getting up 2 times a night
to let her go potty is new to me, I have been
spoiled all these years with a full nights sleep.

Hope all is well with you both and the dogs, we
have come to the conclusion that Nia is going to
be like Beckley... lap dog all the way, and a
face licker... gotta lick, gotta lick...
She is getting the "tuffs" around her neckline
like her mom.
I have changed her feeding to 3+ times a day and
she is eating alot slower and she will sit & stay
before I tell her she can eat, she is a great
student!
P.S. Had a slight mishap with a glass of wine
last night, set it on the table next to the couch
and had only had about 2 sips out of it (not a
real drinker) went to the bathroom to cut Dennis
hair, came out and the glass was empty!
Guess who was up 1/2 the night with a "wired"
puppy?
I thought she would nap, but instead she ran full
speed from 10:00 until 1:00am this morning!
Learned a lesson on setting things down. Didn't
even think she would have been interested.

Nia is as great as ever & her & Buddy are
attached at the hip!
Nia had 3 whole days of nothing but bonding with
Jade. She cried like crazy at the front door when
she left. (broke my heart).
